Overview
The Terran Epochal Compendium ("TEC," "we," "us") is an educational temporal framework and astronomical calendar application. This policy describes what information the application handles, how it is used, and your choices. TEC is not astrology, a spiritual system, a productivity calendar, or a native mobile app.
Information collected
- Authentication & account data. TEC uses the Base44 platform's built-in authentication. When you sign in, your name and email are held by the platform to identify your session.
- Saved personal dates (birthdays). The Birthday Tracker stores dates you choose to save in your browser's local storage and/or your user account so they persist between visits.
- Timezone & hemisphere selection. Your timezone and hemisphere preferences are saved in your browser's local storage so the calendar renders correctly for your location.
- Approximate location (analytics). TEC uses analytics that may derive an approximate region (such as country or city) from your IP address to understand aggregate visitor geography. This is not used to identify you personally.
- Contact form submissions. If you submit the contact form, the name, email, inquiry type, message, and any reference URL you provide are stored through the Base44 platform.
How information is used
Information is used to operate the application, compute and display calendar values for your selected location, remember your preferences, respond to contact inquiries, and produce aggregate analytics about how the application is used.
Storage and third-party providers
TEC is built on the Base44 backend platform, which hosts authentication, the database, and application hosting. Analytics are provided through the Base44 dashboard. TEC does not currently use third-party payment processing (no payments are accepted through the application). No Stripe or other payment services are integrated.
Cookies and local storage
TEC uses browser local storage to remember preferences such as timezone, hemisphere, and saved dates. Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies. TEC does not use advertising cookies.
Data retention
Preference data in your browser persists until you clear it. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond to the inquiry and are then reviewable/removable by the project maintainer. Account data is retained by the Base44 platform for the life of your account.
User rights and deletion requests
You may clear preference and saved-date data at any time from your browser. To request deletion of your account or a contact-form submission, use the contact form and select "Privacy request."
Children's privacy
TEC is a general educational application and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as the project evolves. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
